Episcopal Relief & Development continues to coordinate with the Anglican Alliance in support of the Anglican Diocese of the Bahamas and the Turks & Caicos’ response to Hurricane Dorian.  The staff is in regular contact with the diocese as it focuses on assessing the needs of vulnerable communities in the Bahamas. Diocesan staff and clergy are also coordinating with local organizations to provide food and other emergency supplies and making plans to support a long-term response.

The Rt. Rev. Laish Z. Boyd, bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the Bahamas & the Turks and Caicos, said in a statement, “Let us rebuild stronger and better. Let us become better people because of this. Full recovery will take time but, it is on the way. God already has us in His hands.”
